Last Season's Climbing Pictures

Okay. The Whitsunday photos will take a while and I am kind of busy catching up this semester but I got some photos recently from my lecturer on last season's climbing trip. I thought they are pretty nice and wanted to share them with you guys...enjoy!

One of my classmates on a three star chimney climb called Agamemnon.

The 'tools' that holds our lives.

For all things that goes up must come down...this is one of the longest abseil I have done. All 80 meters of it.

Here is a typical example of a bad practice. Posing for pictures while belaying...tsk tsk tsk.

The famous Taipan Wall in the Grampians where all the difficult graded climbs are. Climbers from all over the world come just to scale this wall.

The lecturers that took us for the whole climbing season, Glyn and Phil. What are they looking at???

Looking at the Singaporean lah! Of course...check out the massive climbing rack just for a 13 meter climb! Haha...typical Singaporean. Both kiasu and kiasi.

A view of Mitre rock from The Watchtower Face, Mt Araplies. Behind it is a lake of salt.

The end of the climbing season...

It was getting cold close to the end of the season but as a whole, it was a great experience. Can't wait to get back in spring!

Today I finally got my hands on the much awaited Araplies guide book! Something I placed an order for even before I got here. The guy at the climbing shop was so excited that he called me down to his shop to grab it the first day it was on sale. Very detailed climbing guide with coloured pictures...now just waiting for some people to come climb with me.
